hand-thrown functional artwork

“The challenge is to do the thing you have to do because you're in love with it and can't do anything else. Not because you want to become famous or rich, but because you will be unhappy if you can't do it. It is not something you can turn on and off.” - Warren MacKenzie

My pottery is designed for both functionality and beauty. I am intrigued by various textures and shapes, which are reflected in my pottery. I work out of a studio in the historic Fairhaven district of Bellingham, Washington. The studio overlooks Bellingham Bay and the San Juan Islands to the west and magnificent Mount Baker to the east, providing constant inspiration from the ever-changing beauty of nature. When I'm not in the studio, you can catch me snowboarding at Mt. Baker Ski Area.
